This is our final entry for the Ponds Flawless White Unbeaten Challenge. Both Earth and I enjoyed trying out the PFW products even if we have different types of skin. It is surprising that I did not have any bad reactions to the day cream knowing that I have sensitive and acne-prone skin. However, Earth did get breakouts after a week of using the products and she was born with great skin! Our conclusion is that the Ponds Flawless White range are great for people with oily skin (such as mine) and that no matter how great a product is, stress plays a BIG part on your skin's health.

Earth was stressed somehow and also had her period when she experienced breakouts. Me on the other hand, enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle whilst working from home. I never experienced breakout with the day cream and enjoyed using it even more than two times a day! It actually made my skin bump free after two weeks of use. However, my schedule got busy-er and there are days that I totally forget to take care of my skin.

Luckily, the effects of the visible whitening day cream is unfading. I have skipped my regular face peels because I am content with fairer skin from Ponds, and I cannot stress how happy I am to have less bumps or rough skin :)

Earth, even though she experienced breakouts, was able to calm here skin and continued to use the products especially the sun block that fit her active social life. Both of us experienced a care-free time with PFW. Earth without worrying about sun damage, and I without worrying about skin problems.

Earth attended an amazing race type of game where she go karted under the scorching sun and ran against time exposed to the sun all the time. She was not afraid to expose herself to sunlight I love the sun. Also because she's confident that she won't get super dark and the harmful UVB and UVA rays won't penetrate her skin because she is using an effective sunblock.

She was impressed with the sunblock / PFW Blemish Prevention UV Cream. Unlike other sunblock that makes her look like a shiny glistening lechon under the sun, PFW sunblock gave a matte finish. She finished the entire race with no makeup on but just an eyeliner! Her only weapon that day was the sunblock.

However, Earth thinks that PFW is not for her. She feels her skin getting tight and while most like the matte finish she is not comfortable with it. Maybe because she says she is a bit older compared to the other girls in the contest. She needs something moisturizing and something that makes her skin feel supple and soft.

Earth loves the PFW facial wash for making her skin feel squeaky clean and also the micro-beads in it as it scrubs off deep seated dirt in the pores. Earth likes how the day cream gets absorbed in the skin fast that she feels she needs to apply more and loves how it gives an instant visible lightening effect. However, Earth is not comfortable with her skin feeling stretched out and dry.

Earth recommends the PFW product line to those with oily skin.

I was concerned when Earth told me she experienced breakouts from PFW and now I am relieved to know that her breakouts tamed down. Read more about her story below:

On our 2nd entry I complained about my breakouts, thankfully the next day they dried out and cleared. I was left with some dark pimple marks though. I guess maybe because I'm nearing my period when I had the breakouts? But I rarely have breakouts honestly. I think I was blessed with good genes. I am not that prone to acne ever.

While some of the earlier breakouts cleared, I would experience one pimple appearing alternately and on different parts. But don't worry I'm continuously using PFW until we finish the challenge and I haven't tried anything yet although I'm itching to go back to my usual skin care product.

While not seeing the glow I'm supposed to feel using PFW, maybe its also psychological, I'm under the weather lately maybe because of my PMS and while I try not to get affected by some people who tries to bring me down, I'm only human. I know nobody can diminish you but yourself. So I'm still trying to be upbeat and ignore them.

Thank you Earth for sharing your experience. I guess many of my skin problems are duly caused by stressed too! I am happy with the PFW Visible Whitening Day Cream but everytime I stay up late, my skin won't look very healthy obviously. Stress is also the main cause of breakouts! Although unavoidable, I hope PFW can battle out the ill effects of stress on our skin.

Earth just had an amazing race somewhere and had a more exciting week than I did! So I am focusing on her Kikay Kit that included all Ponds Flawless White Products. My friend was indeed "amazed" with the PFW Sunblock. For Earth, this product was not as sticky and heavy unlike others she have tried.

Because her event was full of activities, Earth was not able to re-apply and had no time to do so. Thankfully both the day cream and sunblock has UV protectors that shield the skin from harmful sun rays!

On the other hand, my face is still enjoying a bump free surface. I am unsure if this is caused directly by Ponds Flawless White Visible Lightening Day cream or I am just extremely lucky? I am excited to see a more glowing effect and although I have noticeable whiter skin now.

I can't help but wait and see if this product would make me glow! :)

Like Earth, I now bring along the day cream and it is a main stay on my home office desk. When I am bored or stressed, I just rub some cream on my face. Can anyone get more excited than I am?

Pond's Flawless White Unbeaten Challenge | Week 2 Earth and Lace - Bumps Ahead!

It's been my second week using Pond's Flawless Visible Whitening Day Cream and I noticed how my face is currently free of bumps! It could be because of this product or, that I have been sleeping quiet well for the past few nights.

My hopes of maintaining the optic system's effect even after washing seem to be coming true that my face is visibly around 10% lighter (just like how the Super Moon was recently!). Although my acne scars are still noticeable because the lightening effect I got was balanced and all throughout my face.

Do you think I should put more day cream onto the acne scars? I think I am giving that a try!

Earth on the otherhand is having a bumpy time. She is using all Pond's Flawless White products and have just called in to report how she got not one, but three pimples on her face. Que horror!

Unlike me, she is not experiencing any glow. I wonder what is making her breakout, do you have any clue?

Beauty: Pond's Flawless White Unbeaten Challenge | Week 1: Lace and Earth

I am asked to join the Ponds Flawless White (PFW) Challenge and try at least one PFW product. And because my face suffers from acne scars and blemishes, my weapon of choice is going to be the Ponds Flawless White day cream.

I am doing this with my blogger friend Earth, whose "flawless white" progress I will also journal.

Both of us passed the patch skin test which is important if you are to try a new product on your skin. It's been four (4) days since I used the day cream and here is my morning/day regimen.

1. Wash face with medicated soap
2. Toner
3. Ponds Flawless White Visible Lightening Day Cream

From the TV ads of Pond's, my expectations is for the product to lighten my acne scars (as shown above) and minimize appearance of new blemishes. Skin scientists have revealed that Ponds Flawless White visibly lightens skin in 4 weeks and is more effective than more prestigious brands. It has VAO-B3 complex which offers multiple UV protection. I normally use parsol gel as my daily sunblock so I am now replacing it with Pond's for this challenge. Let's wait and see if Pond's is truly unbeaten and if it can beat my skin problems!

First week notes:

1. I like the subtle smell of this day cream, though it is not my first time to use this product (used it in college). Worried if the scent can cause reactions to my sensitive skin.
2. Applying only a thin layer, the product gives an instant matte finish (thanks to its optics system) which made my skin instantly lighter. But of course, truth will come out after washing. Cream is pinkish so I guess it helps give a pinkish white glow?

3. The day cream helps my skin to be less oily throughout the day. I re-apply it when going outdoors because its sunblock component is not that high (hence it's lightweight)and so far, no ill side-effects

4. No visible effects so far but I like how this product feels. Wearing it everyday and everywhere. Because it leaves my skin looking brighter (yes its the optic system and not yet the "real" skin deep result) and protects me from the sun, I catch myself playing outdoors even more :)

First week notes:

1. Earth has used all Pond's Flawless White products including the cleanser, serum, eye cream, day cream and night cream, and sunblock. Noted how this controversial blogger is very picky when it comes to skin care, Earth likes the PFW products so far. *whew!*

2. Compared to her usual skincare products, Earth says Pond's Flawless White products are more lightweight.

3. We agree how the day cream visibly and instantly lightens the skin but after washing, the effect is gone.

4. The sunblock is also good according to Earth and effective in keeping her face matte and less shiny.

Both of us hope to see visible effects at least two weeks of using PFW.
